Akolo Emmanuel Olusegun is a self-taught contemporary visual artist from Kogi, Nigeria, A Civil Engineering graduate of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He is a traditional artist who is known for using earth colours on the skin of his figures, drawing inspiration from the environment, he’s largely concerned with documenting social injustice, struggles and occurrences. He hopes to influence the world and humanity to embrace, tolerate, and love one another despite race, cultural or religious differences and beliefs. As a traditional contemporary artist he has exhibited in several exhibitions in Lagos and Abeokuta, Nigeria including the Art Varsity Awakening in 2016, Signature Sogal Acquire Auction 2019, as well as several other group shows.
